US researchers explore 3D printing in microgravity for space colonies

NASA and other space agencies have actively investigated ways to produce essential supplies outside of Earth.

It would also help to reduce the costs associated with trips to interplanetary destinations such as the Moon.

In this case, 3D-printing technology is a viable option in a space environment where gravity has been significantly reduced.

Space exploration will be more self-sufficient and sustainable with this technology, which allows on-demand production. It also reduces the amount of pre-fabricated materials that need to be shipped from Earth.

This nascent tech poses several challenges to building and producing items in outer space. Scientists are also actively trying to find out how these technologies might work in other worlds.
