STS Inks Introduces Advanced DTF At Printing United Expo
STS Inks introduced its DTF series printers to the Printing United Expo. Built with advanced Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing capabilities, the Japanese-made 1682D 64” DTF Printer provides a staggered dual-head design that provides ultra-fast print speeds and is coupled with the STS 48” automatic shaker for increased workflows and processing speeds.
STS will also reveal the latest features for the STS Inks XPD-724D in January 2023. The debut features improved operation and maintenance that make it easy to use and produce high quality output.
The improved performance is associated with an integrated white ink circulation system which allows for unimpeded flow of ink to the printer head, resulting in optimal results. Both the 1682D and upcoming XPD-724D pair with STS’s DTF ink, which offers users excellent color gamut and outstanding durability.

DTF offers many advantages over conventional DTG (Direct to Garment) technology. This is limited to pre-treated cotton fabrics, and it wears much faster. DTF can be printed onto silk, cotton, non-treated fabrics, nylon, leather and 50/50 blendeds. The DTF can be used on dark and white textiles. Users have the option to select either a matte, or glossy finish.
