Merch-on-demand platform Merchr strengthens team

Merchr, a platform for print-on-demand products has added three new members to its team.

Ariel Or (graphic designer) and Titilayo Saalu (partnership manager) have been hired.

Merchr’s production facility is located in Middleton (Greater Manchester) and its second office is in London. This allows both individuals and groups the opportunity to develop and market their own merchandise collection.

Delew is a marketing professional with five years experience, most of which was gained in retail. Merchr has hired him from Tessuti premium fashion retailer. He also worked previously at Regatta Group’s sportswear brands Dare2b, Tech Nation and Dare2b.

Merchr’s role involves forming new partnerships, including with retail partners, sporting clubs, tourist attractions, and product suppliers.

Merchr co-founder and director Nora Yassin said: “As a company focused on supporting retailers and brands, we recognised the need to recruit someone with hands-on experience in the retail sector. Dan’s expertise in this industry will be a huge asset to the business. It gives us a chance to create even more powerful high-level relationships.

“Our strategy is for Merchr to become a broad marketplace, and we believe that the way to achieve this is through partnerships – with suppliers to add more products and with the likes of retailers, visitor attractions and sports clubs.”

She added: “Investing in talented graphic designers ensures that we are moving forward in the right direction and aligning with our growth goals by raising our brand presence and creating a competitive edge. A key part of the strategy involves creating visually appealing content and visuals on brand that grab our Merchr user’s attention. Current projects include packaging, marketing materials, branding concepts, product designs and more.”

Merchr has now hired 20 people, and is currently recruiting for various roles including web developers and e-commerce channels managers.

Merchr recently added to its range of products towels, blankets and blankets for babies and children, as well as mugs and coasters. This was done in partnership with Jondo.

There are also hoodies, T-shirts, Polo shirts, Jackets and Hats. Power banks, earphones as well as desk items like pens, highlighters and pouches.

Merchr is a platform created by a team of experienced professionals, with the support of Martin Varley. Varley is renowned as a senior executive within the industry. Users can create and launch an online store for free by uploading custom product collections that include artwork, logos, slogans, or images. Alternatively, they can connect an existing website via Merchr’s integrations with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce, and soon Shopify.

Merchr helps individuals and groups – from charities, visitor attractions, clubs, societies and schools to musicians and other entertainers, sports people, entrepreneurs and YouTubers – to build their brand and reach new audiences by creating merchandise stores to sell to fans, friends and followers in an eco-friendly, risk-free way without the need to hold stock or worry about the logistics of production, printing and shipping.

Merchr will print and ship the products at prices that are set by merchandise store owners. Once an order is placed, Merchr’s software delivers print-ready artwork directly to the Middleton facility which is equipped with the latest digital printing, direct-to-garment, direct-to-film and laser engraving machinery. All products are shipped within 24 hours.
