JAMMU, December 30th: District Administration Jammu under the supervision of Deputy Commissar Avny Lassa today issued digital land passesbooks to Seri Khurd and Nagrota legal owners.
One team from the Revenue Department donated 23 land passbooks to be given away, 17 in Nagrota, 6 in Seri Khurd.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the many benefits of land passbooks and stated that they are true to land records, can be created online, and were therefore very useful.
Elle added that Land Pass Book records have the same evidentiary value as other public records for any purpose before courts or financial institutions including Banks.
DC spoke out to describe the new initiative as an achievement towards improving services delivery, transparency in Revenue record systems, and that it has land entries in English, Hindi, and Urdu languages. This will allow for easier access to revenue records and fills the information vacuum.
She added that the Land Passbook provides Revenue information for landowners in an easy form. It also acts as a valid document to present to financial institutions.
