Leading Exhibitors at Next Month’s DS Printech China Trend Towards Green Printing

The printing industry has embraced environmentally friendly printing as a key trend. This is due to the growing demand for green technology. DS Printech China, taking place from 16 – 18 May 2023 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, will provide a trend-aligned sourcing platform for key industry players. This influential screen and digital printing show will feature prominent international suppliers, including many who will showcase the latest eco friendly innovations.

Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, commented: “Sustainability has been more than just a buzzword in the last few years, and is growing in importance. The importance of the event will force printing service providers and ink and consumables suppliers to make improvements in their technologies, printing techniques and raw materials. As one of Asia’s most influential textile printing platforms, DS Printech China will showcase these sustainable solutions to domestic and international buyers, encouraging responsible downstream business operations.”

In Guangzhou for a three-day event, the screen and digital printing industries will gather to discuss a range of solutions that are currently available in their supply chain. Nearly 200 exhibitors from the industry have committed to participating and eager to show off their latest sustainable innovations. Some of the exhibitors who are highlighted include:

Bostik (Shanghai) Management Co Ltd
One of the world’s largest adhesive and sealant companies will be showcasing their OEKO-TEX® compliant textile printing film. These thermally activated films are designed to improve the durability of products, increase productivity, provide a matte, glossy, or soft finish, and have low melting temperatures.

The company is one of many exhibitors in Japan and will showcase its advanced DTG digital printer GTX. Brother’s water-based pigment inks are ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® certified and CPSIA compliant. This innovative pouch packaging is designed to reduce waste and environmental impact.

Zhongyi Ink & Paint Co Ltd
Since around 32 years, this well-known company in the country has produced ink. In addition to water-based inks, Zhongyi’s products include environmentally green UV/LED inks, water based ink, high quality solvent based inks and the matching auxiliaries materials. These inks are used widely in many segments, including offset printing and rotary letterpress printing ink. They can also be found in roller coating, silkscreen printing, and roller coating.

Given the momentum behind the global sustainability movement, it’s no surprise that a growing number of exhibitors are focusing on this topic. In fact, with the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently issuing a “Red Alert” [1]Both brands and customers are seeking solutions that will minimise waste and carbon emission. Improving equipment, logistics, and design will help reduce emissions. Innovative inks and materials, as well as improvements in the industry, are expected to have a positive impact on companies’ efforts.

DS Printech China rebrands two previous events, CSGIA & Textile Digital Printing China. In Shenzhen, the debut edition of 2020 brought together 200 exhibitors who were able to connect with 8853 attendees and more than 130,000 participants online.
