Solopress Launches New Colors for Foil Printing

Solopress’s range of foil printing colours has been expanded. New colours include Bright Gold and Turquoise as well as Red and Blue. These new colours join Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver that have been part the Solopress collection since 2019.

The Essex-based printer uses Konica Minolta’s JETVarnish 3DS technology to apply the coloured foils, followed by a sealing coat of UV varnish for added shine and durability. They can print large areas of foil as well as delicate details up to 0.5mm.

Print products benefitting from the new options include Flyers & Leaflets, Business Cards, Greetings Cards, Postcards, Invitations, Brochures and Presentation Folders.

We felt it was time to offer more colours and expand our range of foil-printed products after the great success. With Christmas approaching, we’re hoping customers will embrace the new options and add some colour and shine to their seasonal print.

Two layers are required for foil printing. The first layer indicates where the foil will be used and the second contains the design elements that can be printed in a conventional manner. Solopress provides a YouTube tutorial and written guidance for customers who are just starting to use foil printing.

The new foil options can be explored at www.solopress.com/foil
