Three’s Company: SOS, GMG and Vivid Team Up for “The Three Card Trick” Open House Event
SOS, GMG Color and Vivid are teaming up for an Open House Event to be held on 6th and 7th September at Vivid’s showroom in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire.
“THE 3 CARD TRICK” event will produce a range of wide format print on some of the latest Roland TrueVIS print/cut machines supplied by SOS, driven by GMG’s colour control and workflow software. Samples will then be cut, folded and laminated on Vivid’s VeloBlade range of equipment, enabling visitors to take away a finished product, including a souvenir boxed deck of laminate playing cards.

SOS is exhibiting a selection of Roland new machines. The Roland TrueVIS LG-540 UV-LED integrated print/cut machine offers the ultimate in UV versatility along with Roland’s renowned quality. Roland TrueVIS AP-540 printer uses environmentally friendly inks. TrueVIS VG3-540, an eco-solvent all-purpose printer completes this line.
The comprehensive range will allow a wide variety of works to be created, including packaging mockups, backlit prints and posters, banners or even wallpaper. Customers can request demonstrations during registration and even produce their work on site by arrangement.
The event will showcase GMG Color’s software solutions for colour management and proofing, which enable accurate and reproducible proofs on packaging production substrates, incorporating white ink – particularly useful for printing on transparent and metallic materials. With accurate calibration and profiling users are able to create custom media profiles that work with any printer. GMG ColorProof and GMG ColorColor combine to create a consistent CMYK press simulation.
The event will be showcasing the wide range of cutting-edge print finishing equipment at Vivid’s showroom covering the latest in automated packaging technology and software solutions ranging from lamination, digital foiling, packaging software, digital die-cutting and patented taper systems.
