“Power Issues” Caused News-Press to Go Fully Digital

This week the Santa Barbara Information-Press introduced they’re going to be totally digital for now.

A word was issued on the paper’s entrance web page on Wednesday stating the printing editions shall be quickly unavailalbe because of “energy points” with their printing plant at at 725 S. Kellogg Ave. in Goleta.

The paper has not said after they count on the difficulty to be resolved. 

Again in April we reported the dwindling employees of the Santa Barbara Information-Press had vacated the historic downtown constructing at 715 Anacapa Avenue.

The embattled newspaper introduced shifting all of its administrative operations, together with its newsroom and promoting and circulation companies, to the Goleta printing plant.

The Santa Barbara Information-Press started printing as a weekly paper, The Santa Barbara Put up in 1868, and after an acquisition in 1932 and a merger was renamed the Information-Press. The revered paper received the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing in 1962 beneath the tutelage of T.M. Storke.
